Leavenworth Special Events

 

It seems like Leavenworth always has events or festivals going on.  Two of the most attended events are Oktoberfest and the Christmas lighting ceremonies.

Oktoberfest is usually held the first 3 weekends of October.  Visit 4 venues.  Dancing, music, food, drink and fun.  It's the next best thing to being in Munich.

 

Christmas in the Bavarian town of Leavenworth is simply magical for all-ages.  It becomes a Village of Lights.  From Thanksgiving through Valentine's Day, see millions of Christmas lights, highlighted by the wonderful Christmas lighting ceremonies held the first three weekends of December on Saturday and Sunday (4:30 pm).  Enjoy Christmas carols, sledding, chestnuts roasted over the open fire and count down to see Leavenworth come to life with twinkling lights.

Leavenworth, and the surrounding area, has everything you could want.  Great restaurants and shopping.  Hiking and biking trails.  Golf and mini-golf.  Museums, theater and parks.  White water rafting, ziplines, rock climbing and skiing.  Wine tasting and great beer.  Simply relax or find your wild side.
